TUMBLEBUS has geneated a list of commonly asked questions based on your feedback. Should you not find an answer to your particular question, don't hesitate to contact our office for additional support!
Q: HOW OFTEN IS TUITION DUE?
A: We offer three different payment plans: Quarterly (12 weeks), Monthly (4 weeks) and Weekly. Payment is due in advance of the classes. A payment reminder will be sent home with your child each month or quarter (depending on your payment plan). If you chose the weekly payment plan, your child will only be taken on the Tumblebus when payment is left in our payment box at the school.
Q: WHEN SHOULD NEW STUDENTS REGISTER FOR A SESSION?
A: New students can register anytime for any session, even if a class is in session. Since our program is geared to recreational gymnastics and fun & fitness curriculums, each child progresses on their own merit.
Q: WHAT SHOULD MY CHILD WEAR ON TUMBLEBUS DAY?
A: On Tumblebus day, please dress your child in comfortable play clothes and tennis shoes. Please no boots, flip flops or dresses. We do have Tumblebus t-shirt and shorts sets available for purchase.
Q: DO I PAY FOR MISSED TUMBLEBUS CLASSES?
A: Tumblebus does not charge if we are not at your child's school for weather related closings (we follow Albemarle County School weather closings) or mechanical breakdowns. In some cases we may be able to make up classes. If you have prepaid for a class and Tumblebus has canceled classes and is not able to provide a makeup class, there will be a credit to your account.
Q: WHERE DO I LEAVE MY PAYMENT?
A: Please drop your payment in the black Tumblebus mailbox located on the Tumblebus information sign. If there is not a sign, please give to the school director.
Q: DOES TUMBLEBUS COME TO MY CHILD’S SCHOOL YEAR ROUND?
A: Tumblebus is a year round program. Parents must contact the Tumblebus office if you decide to withdraw your child. Please do not rely on the school staff to inform us should you decide to withdraw your child.
Q: DOES TUMBLEBUS COME EVERY WEEK?
A: Please refer to the calendar on the back of the Tumblebus registration form. Tumblebus does not charge for days not scheduled on the calendar.
Q: HOW MANY INSTRUCTORS AND CHILDREN ARE ON THE TUMBLEBUS?
A: We have two CPR and First Aid trained instructors on each Tumblebus. We also have continuous training for our excellent staff and they are regularly monitored and reviewed by the Tumblebus management. Most of our classes are 10-12 children.
Q: ARE THE TUMBLEBUSES HEATED AND AIR CONDITIONED?
A: Absolutely! We have our own generator which allows us to stay comfortable in any weather.
Q: WHAT DID MY CHILD DO THIS WEEK?
A: Tumblebus lesson plans are posted each month at your child's school. Please take time to look at them so you can discuss what they did. We also have an open door policy for parents to come and observe your child's class.
Q: MY DAYCARE DOES NOT OFFER TUMBLEBUS – HOW CAN MY CHILD PARTICIPATE?
A: Please call us and we will ask your daycare to host our classes. Be sure to mention us to your daycare provider and express your interest in our classes.
Q: I AM A STAY AT HOME MOM AND WANT MY CHILD TO PARTICIPATE. HOW MANY CHILDREN ARE NEEDED FOR A CLASS?
A: We currently need at least 8 children for a Tumbebus class. Give us a call and we will help market your area and give a free class. Depending upon your location we may offer some flexibility in class size depending upon many other factors.
Q: WHAT AGE IS APPROPRIATE FOR THE TUMBLEBUS?
A: Our weekly classes are available for children ages 18 months to 7 years old. We offer parties for children ages 2 thru 7 years old. We have done some one year old parties and some 8 year old parties, but the majority of them have been between 2 and 7. We are more than happy to have children between 1 and 9 years old on the bus for the celebration; however, we recommend that the birthday child be between 2 and 7 years old.
Q: ARE THERE ANY SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS FOR PARKING THE TUMBLEBUS?
A: We just ask that you have a relatively flat place for us to park and if at all possible reserve a place for us so it is easier when we arrive and we can start the class or party on time. We are a full-size school bus, which means we are 35 feet long so we do need quite a bit of space.
Q: WHAT IS A TUMBLEBUS PARTY?
A: Tumblebus will come to you for a birthday or special event. Our students receive a discount on any party plan. Please reserve your event early to secure your reservation.
Q: CAN WE HAVE OUR CAKE AND OPEN PRESENTS ON THE TUMBLEBUS?
A: We're sorry, but we do not allow the cake and presents on the Tumblebus. This part of your party needs to occur inside your home, or other party location. We find that after an hour of busy activity on the Tumblebus the kids are worn out and they're ready to go inside for something to drink and eat.
Q: WHAT IF I DON'T WANT TO HAVE THE PARTY AT MY HOUSE? ARE THERE OTHER PLACES WHERE THE TUMBLEBUS CAN GO?
A: Absolutely!! We have done a number of parties at Community Centers, Parks, and Restaurants. Give us a call or e-mail us if you'd like some suggestions near you.
Q: HOW DO I MAKE A RESERVATION?
A: We are happy to take reservations over the phone or you can fill out our party reservation card (available at our school locations). When you complete the party reservation form you will be able to request days and times that would work best for you. However, your exact party time is not confirmed until you hear back from us via phone or e-mail. Once the party reservation time has been finalized, we will require a $50 deposit. The balance is then due on the day of the party. To make it more convenient for you we accept cash, checks, and all major credit cards. |
